Uno de ellos es cuadriculado en negro (A) y en la parte central tiene inserto el segundo cuadernillo (B), también en negro -la cuadrícula es más pequeña y los márgenes superior y lateral consisten en una doble raya azul-. Por las dimensiones de ambos cuadernillos y de la tapa, así como por sus características particulares y contenido parecen haber sido realizados en momentos distintos, a lo largo de los años 30 y 40, el segundo cuadernillo parece ser el más antiguo de los dos. Se trata de un cuaderno que Xul Solar utilizó para hacer dibujos. La mayoría de las páginas están divididas en cuadrantes, en algunos casos el artista resaltó dibujos coloreando el borde. El margen exterior de algunas hojas fue recortado de formas diversas, creando muescas en el papel que posiblemente hayan servido de marca al artista. En la página 1, sobre el ángulo superior izquierdo inscripto en lápiz negro "1947" y "Dorothy Sayers" y el título de uno de sus libros: Detection, Mistery, Horror y otras anotaciones. A partir de la página 2 hasta última página del cuaderno, dibujos en lápiz negro. En las páginas 5, 39, 61-62 y 65 aparecen grafías, la de la página 39 ocupa toda la hoja y está coloreada con lápices grasos. En la página 8, dibujos de piezas de Panajedrez y en p. 16, 63 y 64 aparecen tablas utilizadas por el artista para trabajar con la Panlengua. En página 17, dibujos relacionados con Juan Domingo Perón. Entre las páginas 22-23; 48-49 y 60-61 fue recortada una página y quedan restos de papel con inscripciones en lápiz negro. En las páginas 66, 76 y 78, listados de vocabularios, en la p. 78 se trata de palabras en alemán. En la página 75, hay un boceto para una obra similar a Santos y guardianes, 1949.
