Su contenido está principalmente relacionado con el estudio de la lengua, su modificación y estudios sobre diferentes sistemas de escrituras, así como también sobre diferentes signos y símbolos en relación con el lenguaje, el alfabeto, los números, la notación musical, la gama cromática y la astrología. Al ser un cuaderno que fue retomado en diferentes etapas a lo largo de veinte años, puede verse cómo Xul Solar vuelve sobre temas trabajados años antes realizando anotaciones o intervenciones. Este cuaderno puede dividirse a grandes rasgos en dos partes. La primera, que se corresponde con los años ca. 1927-1933, refleja el estudio que el artista comienza a hacer ya en esa época sobre el lenguaje y la escritura, sus modificaciones y la creación de una nueva lengua y también de los sistemas de escritura que desarrollará posteriormente, cuyo resultado son las grafías plásticas. La segunda parte del cuaderno, corresponde a una etapa posterior, la década de 1940, donde está trabajando con dibujos derivados de la geometría y donde también aparecen algunos bocetos para la Cruz, (o Cruz astrológica) (1954). Entre el contenido hay visiones escritas en neocriollo, anotaciones de diferentes tipos de símbolos y signos que a menudo están relacionados con los estudios sobre el lenguaje, la astrología, la notación musical y la gama cromática, diccionarios de lenguaje, tablas de correspondencias entre los signos del zodíaco, las consonantes del alfabeto latino, letras hebreas y jeroglíficos egipcios, diferentes sistemas de escritura taquigráfica y estenográfica entre los que se señala los de Isaac Pitman, Gregorio Dillon y Florentino Ameghino. También contiene círculos cromáticos con notas musicales y las vocales, incorporadas y un listado de nombres bajo el encabezado "Premiembros" entre los que se encuentran: [Lizardo] Zía, Acevedo, Rojas [Paz], [Evar] Méndez, [Jorge Luis]Borges, Balbi, [Oliverio] Girondo.
